Apparent in the early morning shadows are the railings’ cast panels of anthemions. Both 25 and 27 Bethune Street have architectural features from Minard Lafever’s “The Beauties of Modern Architecture,” published in 1835. This book set forth the decorative patterns used in Greek revival homes.
